In 2023, I finally got my first dog of my own: Gromit. Growing up with family dogs, I thought I knew exactly what to expect. I was determined to have the best-behaved boy on the block.

Gromit was a superstar from day one, but as he grew, his anxious side began to show. Suddenly, I wasn't just walking a dog; I was navigating the world with a reactive and anxious soul who was scared of other dogs and people and would do anything he could to get rid of them.

That challenge changed everything. After a holiday to the Cotswolds, I realized my passion wasn't in my old career—it was in understanding the "why" behind Gromit’s behavior. I came home, quit my job, started a dog walking business, and dove headfirst into the world of canine behavior. I didn't just want to "fix" Gromit; I wanted to understand his behaviour and share this knowledge to help other owners who felt as overwhelmed as I once did.

I believe that training should be rooted in science and kindness. I’ve spent the last three years working hands-on with dogs and committing myself to the highest standards of education.
I hold my IMDBT OCN Level 3 qualification in Learning Reinforcement and Motivation.
I am currently studying for my Level 4 to ensure my clients get the most up-to-date, evidence-based support.
I have spent over a year shadowing an amazing trainer and behaviorist, honing the skills I now bring to my own classes and workshops.

My philosophy is simple: A dog with a purpose is a happy dog. Whether it’s scent work, tracking, trick training, or pet gundog work, giving your dog a "job" provides a vital mental outlet. It’s not about high-level competition or taking on a super competitive dog sport; it’s about giving your dog a channel for their natural instincts. I love showing owners how a little bit of focused work can completely transform a dog’s behavior and strengthen the bond at both ends of the lead.
